Helped out a friend with this one today. VT9 was doing some caching on his own, and after talking to him on the phone and giving some information, but very little, I decided to swing by and watch him look. He sent me a picture message of a van parked in front of a light pole, complaining that it was in front of where he wanted to hunt. I laughed. By the time I got over there, he was sitting down signing the log, so he managed it all by himself! As always, a very cool hide.

As in VT9's log, I had told him about this and showed him some photos - but he didn't notice the running water until he got there. He wasn't too happy, but put that behind him pretty quickly and headed in and retrieved the cache. I wish we had more caches like this in Erie like we used to. Thanks for keeping this one alive!

FireRef (Found it) GC1VFF0 - On the Mark (1/1.5) by shadowboxer1211
I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was the first one I looked for. It was a pretty cool marker on the road, and so after reading it, I headed back into the woods to find it. I looked for about 15 minutes, ducking, dodging, and swatting at mosquitoes the whole time. After about that much time, a gentleman who had ridden by on a bike a few minutes before talking on his cell phone stopped back and asked me a few questions about my scooter. He never actually asked about me being in the woods, which I thought was funny. Because of him chatting with me, I worked my way back toward the road, and managed to see a good hiding spot, and wallah, there the cache was! Thanks for bringing me here by putting this out!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was the second one I looked for and found. It was near a recycling center, which is why I assume it was named what it was. This was a quick find once I got to the right place, and I made sure to do this in daylight, even though the hint wasn't helpful in any way to actually finding the cache. Thanks for getting back into this, and putting these out!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was my third find for the day. I actually went down the wrong road at first, but that was because that was where my Colorado told me to go. I used my mind and went back around, noticing I probably could have parked and walked up a cool set of steps, and probably would have, except for a muggle parked right on them and it would have looked a little odd for me to park my scooter and climb the steps out of the blue. So I went around, found the right entrance, and found the cache without any trouble. I did notice a number of graves which had been displaced or knocked over - always hate to see this kind of thing. Thanks for bringing me here, and showing me this area!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was one of the DNF's. I looked through the area where the hint suggested, but not for very long - I actually started to leave, decided to give it a little more of a try, and went back. There were muggle families on the playground right next to it, and I felt a little odd digging through bushes and trees with them there, so I didn't really look all that hard. Thanks for putting these out, even if I didn't find it!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was one of the DNF's. This was a very cool memorial site, but I wasn't able to get any idea of where to look because my GPS took me to one location, and the hint took me to a completely different part of the site. I looked around both for a few minutes each, and then decided it wasn't worth the time, since I wanted to find a bunch today, and that I could always look for it another time. Thanks for bringing me here, even if I didn't find the cache!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was the fourth find. I came down the road, took a few pictures of the cool windmill, and then headed to ground zero. There were some fisher-muggles fisher-muggling in the area, but I think I managed to find it without drawing too much attention to myself. The cache was in good shape and well sealed. Thanks for bringing me here and showing me this area, and for the smiley!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was number five. This was a quick, easy find, in the fashion I tend to place most of them. I definitely followed the hint, hunting for it in the daytime, but I don't believe that kind of hint did anything to help me find it. Thanks for getting back into placing caches, and bringing me here by putting this one out!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was my 6th find for the day. I stopped before this and got lunch, as I had been riding my scooter for the better part of 3 hours by now, stopping only occasionally to hunt for a cache or two. This one was a pretty quick find, once I followed the hint, and its always cool to see some of these kinds of bridges. I am surprised by the type of cache this is - although a cool container, it definitely could be mistaken for something else lol. Thanks for bringing me here by putting this cache out!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 20, DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was my seventh. This one required walking across a closed bridge, which was pretty cool, and donating some blood to the local plant life, when I went to retrieve the cache. As usual, I was definitely following the hint, although it didn't help in finding the cache in any way. Thanks for getting back into caching and putting these out to bring me to these cool places!

FireRef (Found it) GC1WZT2 - FROGIES (1.5/1.5) by poppabear_2
I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 21 (although for the first few logs I said 20, because I missed at least one), DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was the eighth find. The location wasn't hard to find, and coordinates were very good. There was a large rock on part of the fence near the actual location, and I thought this had something to do with it, but didn't really. I found the real cache, signed the log, and replaced it as found. As always, I followed the hint, but it didn't help in actually finding the cache. I have to mention that by now, I am getting rather irritated by the dirt roads I have been on to find a bunch of these caches today. It seems a number of them have rocks and gravel which is just the right size to make it nearly impossible to keep my scooter under control. Guess I need to stick to more urban caches with it, or take my life into my own hands! It was an interesting ride, to say the least. Thanks for staying involved in caching, and bringing me to this area by putting this one out!

I went out today, after helping a friend with a couple of local caches, to look for some on my own with my scooter. I decided to head West to Ohio. I managed to find 22 (although for the first few logs I said 20 or 21, because I missed a few), DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was a quick find near the store. The container was pretty funny to look at. Originally, I headed over to the large tree, but when I read the hint, the actual location was revealed very quickly. Someone left a lemon break recipe in there - I left it for someone who might use it. Thanks for bringing me here and showing me this area!

This was a DNF. I guess I should have read all the logs, instead of just the couple most recent, because I had an idea, but no luck. Had I read a little more, I might have looked in a few more places that might have revealed the actual cache. Thanks for bringing me here, even if I didn't get a smiley out of it.

I managed to find 22 (although for the first few logs I said 20 or 21, because I missed a few), DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was the next find. I found this one almost immediately, but was surprised at how far it was from the bridge - most of these kind of hides are placed almost at the bridge. It did make it a little easier to work around with traffic, because the occasional car did come through while I was in this area. Thanks for bringing me here with this cache so I could see the bridge!

I managed to find 22 (although for the first few logs I said 20 or 21, because I missed a few), DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was a find which took 2-3 minutes, because I had to actually look at the right place. Once I saw it, I was surprised at how long it took for me to find it, because it was so obvious once I knew where it was. Thanks for bringing me here and for putting these out!

I looked for this one before, about a year ago, on another scooter run for caches in the area. At least this time nothing on my scooter broke! I found this one in the first place I looked without any problems. I wonder if it was actually there last year, because I can't believe I could have missed this! Thanks for putting this out, and for bringing me back here a second time to get the smiley!

When I first pulled up to this one, a muggle on a bike, talking on a cell phone, rode by. I kind of made it look like I was checking something on my scooter until he left, and then I found the cache in about the third place I looked - I just happened to look in unlikely spots the first two times :) - So I signed the log, took a picture of the building because I thought the mural was cool (I'm a swimming official in PA), and headed out to look for my next cache! Thanks for bringing me here by putting this here!

This was my last DNF of the day. I had been here before, and I'm not sure if this was the cache I looked for before or not - but I don't think it was. I think I hunted for one that turned out to be missing a little ways away from this machine. It is pretty cool - I did some research on them when I got home and saw some pictures of the entire thing in operation, not just the bucket and operators room like what is here. I had no luck with the cache however. A lady came over from the museum and started reading the sign next to it, and was there for probably 10 minutes - I don't know if there was some other reason she was there, or if she was just reading that slow. Then a couple of teen muggles came over and sat on the bench, and a family or two started climbing all over the Hulett. So I decided it would be better if I came back on a less busy day. Thanks for bringing me back here - I took some pictures, and posted them on my facebook page (Nice - a picture of the bridge, then Not so Nice - a picture of the "no skateboards" sign - I hate places that pick on skaters!). I'll be back!

I managed to find 22 (although for the first few logs I said 20 or 21, because I missed a few), DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. Stopped by and read this one, and then checked out the hint, which really didn't tell me anything about finding the cache. Although, I guess when I think about it now, it did kind of mention the place the cache was located, so I guess it was kind of a round-about hint. Thanks for bringing me here. I was on a call as a volunteer fireman where a 12 year old boy was partially ejected from a car and the car rolled on him, killing him, as well as a call on the interstate for, among other things, an 11 year old boy who was ejected from a van. Neither were wearing seatbelts - PLEASE wear your seatbelts when you're in a car, and make your kids do the same, no matter how much they complain. Thanks for bringing me here and telling this story.

This was a really cool hide. It happened to be the first thing I grabbed, and I was surprised it was that easy, but I have seen similar ones before. I never saw this particular type of this setup however, and it was well done and in great shape. Around this time, I got a text from a fellow firefighter who is a scout, who mentioned that he accidentally found a geocache, but knew exactly what it was when he ran across it. Thanks for bringing me here and showing me this cache and this area. We brought some junior firefighters here a few years back for a competition, and did very well at it!

I found this one without any problems, but did have some problems retrieving the container. I had to use a couple sticks as chopsticks or tweezers in order to actually retrieve the container from its hiding spot. When I was finished, I added a few layers of clothing as it was starting to cool off, and headed out to find more caches before heading home. Thanks for bringing me here and showing me this area, as well as giving me another smiley!

I managed to find 22 (although for the first few logs I said 20 or 21, because I missed a few), DNF'd a few, and had a great time, and put 185 miles on my scooter in the process. This was funny that the cache was located on the property of a security company - I figured this would be one of the last places you would ever find a cache. Thanks for bringing me here, though - it was well stocked and in great shape.

I actually stopped to eat on this cache run at the local KFC before doing this one, because I noticed the store and my stomach rumbling at about the same time. Thanks for bringing me to this area by putting this cache out - and my stomach thanks you as well!

This was a pretty cool container, but there was a pretty big ant problem inside it. Like all over everything - I had to keep brushing them off my hands as I was trying to retrieve and sign the log - it probably should be cleaned out soon before things inside get damaged. Thanks for bringing me here and showing me this unique kind of hide!
