FireRef (Didn`t find it) GC1JN4T - Out Of The Woods (2/1) by brer ratbit
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was one of only two I was unable to find, and I'm guessing it isn't there anymore. Like several previous finders mentioned, I found a magnet, but no container anywhere to be found. I have a history with this location - I hid a cache a little ways back in the woods, but after several DNF's and several comments from people who found it that it wasn't quite family friendly, I pulled it a while back. Thanks for giving me a reason to stop here again, even if there wasn't a cache to find.

On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was the first "find" since it counts as one. Thanks for bringing me here. It seems to be a very well planned out event. The only bad thing was all of the bugs. I picked up a few things from the shops, and was in the group photo. Thanks for everyone who planned this - now I'm off to find some caches!

On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was the first real cache, but second find for the day. Thanks for bringing me back here. There were a few people back here, and some coming behind me, so it was a quick and easy find. Thanks!

FireRef (Found it) GC27ZP6 - ASPGB - The Beginning (2/2) by guinea_gal
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #3. This was a quick and easy find, and when I was headed up there, I ran into EvilBenchmarkHunter and Rev. Mike from my neck of the woods. Mike made a joke about how we were likely to meet because it was out of state. I have actually only run into him once in my own area, but 3-4 times out of state. Thanks for bringing us here - this cache was a nice one!

FireRef (Found it) GC1ZM1P - Remembering Mom and Dad (2/3) by ToeTrackers
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #4. This one was a hard cache to find. When I got back to the woods, I was surprised to find a whole group of people working on finding it - probably close to 20. None had found it. I hunted with them for about 20 minutes, and then decided to move on to greener pastures. As I was walking down the hill, a group of three people walked up, and said they had swallowed their pride and asked for a hint. I won't repeat it here, but after about 5 minutes of everyone hunting with that new hint, I managed to find the right hiding spot! That was cool - I didn't expect to be the person to find it! Thanks for the challenge!

On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #5. This was a quick find with a small group of 3-4 people who happened to get there about the same time I did. Thanks for putting this out and for bringing us here!

FireRef (Found it) GC26B5E - What A View! (1.5/1.5) by Sunrayers
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #6. This was one of those caches at an event where I was walking up and saw a bunch of people, and figured I'd find it right away, but it turns out the people were there fishing and camping. I realized this when my GPS said I was where I was supposed to be, but I was probably 70 feet from those people. I looked around, found a likely hiding spot, and there it was! Thanks for bringing me here! I spent a lot of time in this lot over the years camping here with my family, because it is one of the only places you can get good phone reception!

FireRef (Found it) GC27ZPY - ASPGB - Owl (2/2) by guinea_gal
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #7. This was a pretty quick find, and was pretty cool in the way it was hidden that relates to the name of the cache. I ended up getting to GZ as a couple of other cachers with a dog did also, and they mentioned they were on their way to the event itself, but wanted to "find a geo" before they got there. Thanks for putting these out and bringing me to this spot!

FireRef (Found it) GC27ZQ0 - ASPGB - Bear (1/3) by guinea_gal
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #8. This entailed a little bit of a climb - I was actually videotaping some commentary as I was doing some of these caches, and just before I went up to find it, I taped the hill and commented that "I hope it isn't up there!" - well, it was lol, or at least somewhat. So I climbed up and found it right where I thought it would be. While I was signing the log, some people came behind me and said "Hey, any chance you could bring that log down here? haha", and I said "Well, only if you bring it back up!" - they made the climb and the find as well, and I headed on my way. Thanks for bringing me here, and for this really cool series!

This was #9. This required a little bit of a climb, and some creative parking since there wasn't a parking spot right by where the best access was. I went up in, and found a family with a couple small children checking out the contents of the cache as I got there. Thanks for bringing us here, and for putting this series out!

FireRef (Found it) GC1R0TA - EMGT - Starter - The Alpha (1/1.5) by brownout
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #10. This was pretty well tucked back into its hiding space, and I think I found another cache in this area a few years back. I had to squat for the entire time while finding the cache and signing the log to avoid getting killed by the local shrubbery. Thanks for bringing me back here!

I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #11. This was a quick find only because there was a group signing the log as I got here. As I was leaving, the last of the people that were there were reconstructing a decoy that apparently had fallen apart with the group hunting. Thanks for bringing me here and for putting this cache out!

I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #12. I was here in this area before finding a cache out by the road, but I don't believe it is still there. One nice thing about the permit process for ASP and the New York parks (the ones that are still open :( ) is that every year, half of the caches in a park cycle out and new ones come in, and so when I am camping, there's always some new ones! Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #13. This was a pretty cool set of trees that held a cache - you don't see too many that have grown like this. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

FireRef (Didn`t find it) GC2867W - 101 Dalmatians #71 (2/2) by Mat-Kat+1
On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was only the second of two DNF's that I had for the day. I passed several people on the way out, but didn't say much other than hi. When I got back there, I found a bunch of likely places, but after 15-20 minutes, no luck. The hint didn't help a lot, because there weren't many places that you could go to find this without breaking what they suggested. My GPS kept bringing me back to the same area, but no luck, so I finally moved on. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here, even if I didn't find it!

This was #14, and my #1899. This was a quick pickup from its hiding place, with some people right behind me to pick up the find as well. They made the usual joke about it being nice to have other people doing the hard work finding the caches. I asked about my previous DNF at the neaby 101 dalmations cache, but they couldn't remember anything about it because they found it a ways back. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #15, and my #1900! Woo Hoo - another milestone! 2000 isn't too far off. This was a little more of a climb than I really wanted as I thought I was in the park-and-grab section of the caches I planned to do, but once I got to ground zero, it was right where I thought it would be. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #16. This was a very quick park and grab, but needs some serious CITO. There is a large bird in a garbage bag that has been picked at by local wildlife, and smells really bad. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here, even if the current scenery isn't that great!

I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #17. I used to be a Ham Operator, and actually, I stopped typing this log to see if I could renew my license which expired about a year ago online - and I did! KA3UWI will be back on the air soon! This was a cute little hide in the manner of a lot of mine. I also spent some time at this cache trying to sort out my field notes because at ASP, the phone signal was pretty bad, and some of the field notes that my iPhone said saved, didn't. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #19. These larger bison-type tubes are pretty cool, and I love this series. I didn't start collecting dog names since I'm sure I'll never manage to find all 101, but it is a really cool concept, and the coins are a pretty nice incentive. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #20. I could see this being relatively hard for someone who doesn't have much experience, but I have to admit that it is a really cool hide - makes me want to do one like this somewhere near my home. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here! Edited to make sure that I posted that I didn't block any driveways or cause any problems for this cache :) - It wasn't disabled when I downloaded it.

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #21. It took a few minutes, because I wasn't sure where to look - and I reread the cache page to make sure I was ok to be poking around back here. When I found it, I thought it was a really neat container. The log really does need replaced though. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #22. Like I mentioned in my other log, after reading and doing some of these caches, I decided to renew my amateur radio license, which expired a year or so ago, and I've had for 20 years. KA3UWI will be back on the airwaves! Nice smell here from the refinery. I just talked about this in my chemistry classes in describing how they break crude oil up into the various things that we use it for, and took a picture of the tower after this cache to show my classes. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #24. I thought when I pulled up, that this would be a really cool place to put a cache - I had seen one like this somewhere else, but the "container" wasn't real - it was just for the cache. This one was, and it was nice to find. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here! I got a laugh out of a bumper sticker on the cars that were in the lot - several had them. I took a picture for myself.

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #25. Before finding this, I decided to get some food since I hadn't eaten since this morning. I noticed when I pulled in that there was a cache closeby, but I got the food first, then went looking for the cache. It took two looks at the obvious spot before I found the not-so-obvious cache. There were caterpillars everywhere! Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

This time, it took about 2-3 minutes until I looked in the right place. I actually looked right at it, started to move on, and then decided to check what I thought might be it. It was. There were caterpillars everywhere here! Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #27. This was a little hard to find parking for, but I ended up parking reasonably safely. All of a sudden, it seemed like it became a busy street. I found the cache quickly, except for getting really wet because it was behind a large bush that usually isn't in these types of places. This was not a find, and I just realized when I started typing this that I only had 37 for the day - whoops - lol - I've put that I found 38 for most of the logs up until this one, so I left it there. I parked here for a few minutes as a local muggle was filling water jugs, and when it seemed like he would be there a while, I figured I'd come back as I'm in this area every once in a while. I found the old cache that was here a long time ago. I'll be back! Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 (well, actually 37 finds and one note) before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #29. It could have been a little more difficult, but I knew right where to look because there were people finding it before when I drove by, and the lid wasn't put back on right, so it was somewhat obvious. I also have seen this kind of hide a bunch of times near my home, but always like them! I made sure to put it back so it blends in well. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 (well, actually 37 finds and one note) before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #30. I stopped in at the local business to take care of some business, and then went back out to find some more caches. On the way in to the store, I noticed that there was a business truck parked in a handicapped spot, with no placard or plate for being there. On the way out, I was pleasantly surprised to find a local police officer ticketing said vehicle. Nice to see someone getting dinged for breaking the rules like that. After seeing that, I headed over and grabbed this quick cache. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #32. This was a quick find in a cool place - I always think these closed buildings are neat. It would be cool to see them use this for something other than a store, especially with that outdoor fenced in area. The area by the cache looks like the kind of place local kids would hang out - not sure if they do, but it seems like a good place for them. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

I managed to find 38 before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #33. This was a pretty sneaky hide. I looked at the container several times, after deciding with the current rain that I really didn't want to go trudging around in the bushes unless I had to. When I found it, a muggle came driving through, but I'm not sure why - not like this is a popular place with adults, I would assume. I signed the log, and then checked out the backside of the building, since the air conditioning apparatus and some other stuff looked pretty cool. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

On the day of the Allegany GeoBash 2010, I decided to go up there, check out the area, and do a bunch of caches. I always like this park, because my family has gone camping here every year for as long as I can remember (since it was before I was born lol). I managed to find 38 (well, actually 37 and a note - but I managed to miscalculate as usual and put 38, so I left it there lol) before I ran out of steam, and picked up a few cool things from the event. This was #34. I was a little leery of going back here to look for this, and it definitely needs some serious CITO, but the container is HUGE! It was worth the climb. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

This was #35. This was a quick find, as it is pretty much right out in the open. I'm not sure if its supposed to be or not, so I left it there. The container could probably use replacing, as it seems some animal decided to snack on it, and its not watertight anymore. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!

This was #37, my last one for the day before heading home. I went in the hard way, first by going around the block, and then thinking about it and going in the right driveway. Then, I went the hard way through the bushes, and saw the trail out afterwards. This is a cool place - might have to eat here sometime. Thanks for putting this one out, and for bringing me here!
