FireRef (Didn`t find it) GC1XMEM - Bayview (2.5/1) by foundfun
I looked around for a little while, after being at the hospital for a few hours with my mom, who was released and is feeling much better. No luck - tried a few likely places, read a few old logs, and had some ideas, but none panned out. I'll be back!

FireRef (Found it) GC1R2R8 - Fishin' For Cache (1.5/1) by TeamWilsonPresidents
I was going to pick up some local caches in between a baseball game this afternoon. This was the first one. I was here before, dodging soccer players, so I figured since no one was here, this was a good day to look for it. When I thought about the name, the meaning came pretty quickly, and so did the find. Thanks for putting this out. I may be involved in starting a Geocaching group at my own school. Thanks!

FireRef (Found it) GC23PFN - Last Chance (1/1.5) by platerman
I was going out today to pick up some caches around a baseball game I wanted to go to. I stopped by here, managed to break a belt loop when I parked my scooter, and then found the cache almost immediately after returning to the place I went to look. Thanks for putting this one here! My next stop was home, to sew my belt loop before heading off to more caches and the baseball game. Thanks for the heads-up, Shady Rob. I'd love to hear exactly what someone was arrested for when looking at a traffic control, if they didn't damage it.

I came here in between some other caches and a baseball game. I spoke with the owner a week or so ago, and was right when I thought I knew what I was looking for. I spent a short time looking, and when I found it, it was in a rather inaccessable location. I spent a few minutes making it accessable, and then retrieved it. Then I spent the next 10 minutes trying to get the log out. Whew... Finally, I signed the log and returned it to its normal location. Thanks for the adventure!

I decided to pick up a couple of caches around a baseball game that I wanted to go see. After the game, which the team I was rooting for won, I ordered some food from a local chinese food establishment, and while waiting for it to be made, picked up this cache nearby. Thanks for putting it out - I was pleasantly surprised to find a container this size. Thanks for the cache!

FireRef (Found it) GCN9ZY - Disingenuous (4/1.5) by kiawa
I went on a cache run with Platerman and Dudeacus tonight - some were caches I had already found, some were new ones, but it was a fun time all around. This was a puzzle I solved before I got ready to go. They wanted to do ones near Presque Isle, and this was down there, so I figured I'd solve it and see if I could get it. I found it pretty easily - contents are a little damp, but in decent shape. Good hiding spot. Thanks for putting it out and for making me recall some puzzle solving skills I haven't used in a while. TFTC!

I went on a cache run with Platerman and Dudeacus tonight - some were caches I had already found, some were new ones, but it was a fun time all around. This was one I found before, so just a note. It is still there - but was full of water. Log seemed dry though. I went on a cache run with Platerman and Dudeacus tonight - some were caches I had already found, some were new ones, but it was a fun time all around. Just a note since I found this a long time ago. I stopped by and checked out some family graves near here, including one that was a relative that was moved from the wrong grave site (family issues back then) to the right one with the rest of the family, a few years ago. It was interesting to watch them transplant a casket from place to place when they did it. The people with me found the cache without any problems, and it was in good shape. Always nice to see caches I did before still out there. Thanks for placing and maintaining it!

FireRef (Found it) GCE5D3 - GAMMA (2.5/3) by AlphaOp
This was one of several I worked on finding up in the Behrend area that have been there for a while, I just never got around to finding them. This was a quick, easy find, once I got to the right spot. My Colorado took me 20-30 feet away - when I used the google map on my iPhone, it took me to the exact spot, I looked down, and it was right at my feet! That is unusual - it usually works the other way. Thanks for the hide, and for being one of the first people to put these out years ago, back when I started!

This was a difficult one to get to, even if not all that hard to find. I got there, and wandered around for about 15 minutes until I got to the right spot to see the cache. Once I got to the right spot to see it, I had to figure out how to get to it. I managed to do this, but could see why people would think a rope would be handy. It would be rather embarrassing to have to get rescued from here - I'm in the fire department that covers this area! Thanks for putting this out and bringing me here again. I was able to see across the way, where there are some power lines cutting through here, a place we rescued someone from here last fall. TFTC!

The background of the photos indicates I was in the right area, but I just couldn't find anything. If it's there, I'll be back - thanks for bringing me to this spot!

FireRef (Found it) GC26RF0 - Don't Look Down (1.5/4.5) by PiperCVFD
This was a difficult one to get to, even if not all that hard to find. I got there, and wandered around for about 15 minutes until I got to the right spot to see the cache. Once I got to the right spot to see it, I had to figure out how to get to it. I managed to do this, but could see why people would think a rope would be handy. It would be rather embarrassing to have to get rescued from here - I'm in the fire department that covers this area! Thanks for putting this out and bringing me here again. I was able to see across the way, where there are some power lines cutting through here, a place we rescued someone from here last fall. TFTC!

I attended this - thanks for the snacks, and the photo (which I have yet to see) - Happy Birthday Geocaching, and Happy Birthday Dudeacus! I spent most of my time here talking with him and Platerman, his dad. We did probably 10 caches together following this. Thanks for hosting this, and having all of us there. Met a few new people, and generally had a good time.

I went out for the 10 Years lost and found event, and this was one of the caches I found while I was out here. I did this one with Dudeacus and Platerman, and ran into a few other people along the way. This was our first find at the event. We actually found it with another group, who had already made the find, but that seems to happen at a lot of these events. Thanks for putting it out - on to the next one!

Dudeacus walked right up to it and found it without any problems. Thanks for putting this out!

I did this one with Dudeacus and Platerman, and ran into a few other people along the way. First to log but not first to find. Thanks for bringing us here. This was the last of the caches I did at the event with a group of people, including Dudeacus, Platerman, and TeamWilsonPresidents, among others. Some of them had already found this cache, but since it was in the loop around the other three new caches that were in this area, most of us went over to this one to find it. Thanks for putting it out - this is a cool kind of hide. Some of the younger people with our group were surprised that the object the cache is located in would remain where it is at, but we explained that when you're out in the woods, these kind of objects don't really move around much, and people generally don't move them either. Thanks for putting this out. This was the last cache I did with the group. I had considered doing more shortly, but managed to delete the waypoints I put into the GPS, so I headed home after this, took a nap, downloaded the caches from my computer, and headed back out later. Thanks for the cache!

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. You might want to consider replacing the container. Thanks for putting it out!

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. I tried looking for this one for a few minutes in each of several locations my GPS took me to. It seems from the google map on my iphone, where I looked the first time was the right place, but no luck. When I headed back to my bike, I was approached by a man from an older couple in a car that had parked behind my bike. The man asked if I worked for the people who work on traffic lights. I said no. He said something about seeing me poking around the light controls, and that he was interested in how the timing of the lights worked. Sounded a little fishy to me - like he was looking for an excuse to ask me about my poking around lol. I explained he could probably call the city engineering department for information on how that worked. He thanked me, got back in his car, and drove off. It was definitely a different muggle encounter. Thanks for bringing me here - I'll be back!

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. I came into the parking lot off of Old French, but saw it was closer to the other side, and knowing there was an entrance on that side but never having been there, I decided to check it out. So I went around from the other side, parked on the little side street, and walked to the cache. It was a quick find, but felt a little wierd because there was a baseball game being played on the upper field. Thanks for bringing me here - I found a few others in this park early on in my caching career (if you could call it that lol). Thanks for the cache!

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. I looked in the wrong places for a while, based on my kind of hides, and where the GPS was taking me. After a few minutes, I widened my search and found it almost immediately. I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. When I drove over the side street coming to the street this one was on, a car came up over the hill and slowly stopped about 50 yards away. It sat there, so I did, waiting for it to go by since I was at a stop sign. I think it took them almost a minute to park the car and get out - I couldn't figure out what they were doing! I found the cache quickly, once my GPS settled down. Thanks for putting this one out! I used to be a fireman in this area, but have since moved further East for the area I help protect.

Thanks for bringing me back here. I hope this cache lasts, because I wonder how long the hiding place will. I used to be a fireman up in this area, but have since moved farther East in the area I protect. Between writing the field note and posting this log, due to the twitter/facebook connection, I got a comment from a former student "Did it taste good?" since all he saw was that I found the geocache "Woody's Buffet" - haha.

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. It seemed like this one would be in the middle, so since I was closer to the Glenwood Park Ave end, that was where I parked. Some local muggles who live below the road were having a fire in their backyard, but seemed to ignore me. The road was rather wet, and in pretty bad shape for most of it - I doubt I could even get my scooter through all of it. It was a nice walk back once I got past the wet areas. The find was quick and easy, and was in good shape. Thanks for bringing me back here again - I found 1-2 other caches back here early in my caching career (if you could call it that!). Thanks for the cache! 1 TB inside - just discovered it.

I used to be a fireman in this area and responded to a number of accidents at this intersection, so it was nice to be here wandering around in a non-emergency situation. I looked for a few minutes before reading the logs, and Goonienanny's log was definitely helpful - once I thought about it, I made the find almost immediately. Thanks for bringing me here. Interesting benchmark - I assume the post inside is for altitude. Thanks for the cache!

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. It was dark out at this point, and even though from what was posted in the logs, I figured I knew exactly what I was looking for, I couldn't find it. I might try again next time I'm in the area and it's daylight. Thanks for bringing me back here, even if I didn't find it.

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. I looked around the area that this one seemed to be in for a few minutes, but have, as of late, had trouble with caches on these kind of places. Thanks for bringing me here, even if I didn't find it. I ended my night with 7 finds and 4 DNF's. Thanks for putting these out, even if I didn't find it.

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. This was one I had a hint on from a while back, and when I got there, can't believe I missed it before. The container is broken, but the log inside was completely dry.

Thanks for bringing me here and for putting this out - I used to be a fireman in this area - now I'm protecting an area a little further East.

I decided to go out and do some caching this nice, warm evening on my scooter, since I haven't done some of the more simple ones in my area. This was a quick, easy find.

FireRef (Found it) GC1TQ9R - Telephone (1.5/1.5) by Aquarius204

No luck here. Several people gave me some hints after this DNF showed up on my field notes twitter, so I'll have to come back and try again next time I'm over here. Thanks for putting it out!

FireRef (Found it) GC261PT - Shady Rob's Final Puzzle Cache (2/2) by Shady Rob
I went out to do some maintenance on a cache nearby, and decided to try to pick up a couple in the time I was up here. Apparently I have cleaned out the area pretty good, because this was the only one within about a mile and a half that I haven't done. I went back on the little road that takes you back by the nice sewage treatment plant - lol. I thought it was interesting to see how this was set up, because I always enjoyed touring the Erie Wastewater Treatment plant - seeing what happens to all the stuff we flush. At least it didn't smell TOO bad. Found the cache after wandering around a little bit - used my iPhone, decent signal, but a little more scrubbrushy than I really wanted for how I was dressed. Thanks for putting this out, and for making it available to those of us who didn't get enough pieces to get the puzzle completed. I did about 5-6 of these caches with a group the night they were released, but we were just too pooped to do all of them. Thanks for placing the series and this one! We need more like this in Erie.

FireRef (Found it) GC21G47 - Smiling in Atlanta (4/1.5) by sean_j_allen
I was with a group in Atlanta, Georgia, for the International FIRST Robotics competition, along with teachers, students, and mentors for our school. Some of the students already geocache, and some were interested in checking it out. Some of us, including molnorick, betsyspike, and Ginger!, looked for this one during a break in the competition. We figured it would be a really hard one, but it turned out that it was pretty easy - 4 star is probably a little high of a rating. Molnorik, with only 2-3 finds and a description of some other types of hides I had given him, found this after about a minute of searching. It is definitely a cool hide - I have seen these used for other types of caches where I live. Thanks for bringing us here and for putting this out. It was funny because we walked past this location 3-4 times a day so far during this trip and didn't realize where it was located. TFTC!

We had looked for this one a few nights ago, on the way back from the Hard Rock Cafe, but ran into some difficulties, because there were a couple of police arresting a person from inside the memorial, and geocachers look rather suspicious when looking around a place like this - not to mention it is directly across from a police precinct! We had a pretty clear hint from the owner, and with that, I spotted it within about a minute of coming back. We got some photos taken with the statue, and I'll post those shortly. Thanks for bringing us here and showing this area! TFTC!

Cool urban hide, and molnorick came up with it almost immediately. Thanks for bringing us here and for placing the cache! I think we have a few new converts for geocaching! TFTC!

FireRef (Found it) GC167BC - AGT-Warren-Pennsylvania Mountain Laurel (2.5/3) by Pirate & Crafty
Found this cache as one of two today, with a group of people including FirefighterKid, LilBroB, Dr. Insanity, and some muggles that went with us. We attempted to go to Rimrock, but for some reason it was closed. Then we attempted to go to Jakes Rocks, and it was closed also. So we ended up in a parking area close to here that we found a campfire ring, and used that to make food. After we were done eating, we went looking for this cache as a walk in the woods. As usual, FirefighterKid decided to run ahead and grab it before I got there, and hide it from me - a common thing he does when we cache. Thanks for bringing us here. Didn't see any TB's in the cache. I am doing the AGT caches, but already have enough from this area - besides, I didn't think to bring the passports.

So we ended up in a parking area close to here that we found a campfire ring, and used that to make food. After we were done eating and finding another nearby cache with a group, the two of us went walking to get this one while the rest of the group went for a walk in another direction. Found it without any problems except for scratched legs. Thanks for bringing us here! FINALLY! Well, with a pretty clear hint from the owner, I found it. I can't believe it, but I honestly feel I probably never would have come up with it without the hint. Thanks - and thanks for putting one out that could frustrate me that long - lol. Probably didn't help that I got a bad hint on it from someone a few attempts ago and that was what I concentrated on. And now the name makes sense too! Wow - Goldsnoop, you can always come up with some nasty caches. Now, if I could only find Vertical Challenge. TFTC!

FireRef (Didn`t find it) GC1FFD8 - Other Side of the Bridge (3.5/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA
This was a DNF on a day of 7 finds and 3 DNF's. I have been here multiple times, and found the decoy, but was unable to find the real cache. I think I'm going to contact the owner for a hint because I've been here with groups of people who were unable to find it either.

FireRef (Found it) GC1XFVK - Mallick and Colton Cache (1.5/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA
This was the second find of 7 (and 3 DNF's) today. It was a quick, easy find, took about a minute, but was a pretty creative hiding spot. Lots of very close parking, even if it felt a little wierd to be parked there. Thanks for putting his here - the whole area out here holds a lot of memories for me from when I was younger. TFTC!

FireRef (Found it) GC1XFWP - German Damsite (2/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA
This was the third of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) today. I found the decoy almost immediately, but spent quite a while (10 min probably) looking for the real cache. Thanks for bringing me here and showing me another way to frustrate a geocacher! TFTC!

FireRef (Found it) GC25E1K - Titus Road Trailhead #1 (1.5/2) by Smagster
This was the fourth of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) that I did today. Found this one without any problems - only issue was one person riding a horse in circles about 1/4 mile down the road from where I had to park to get to the cache. Thanks for bringing me here! TFTC!

FireRef (Found it) GC1XET9 - Lakeside Park: Carlson Community Center Cache (2/1.5) by bfortney
This was the fifth of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) I did today. This was a quick find, except for having to walk through some mud. It was nice to see the area, and to have a working bathroom nearby - lol. But the cache was a cool kind, and I took care of it quickly. There was a van watching me, it seemed, and since it wasn't prime hours for the park (probably 8 at nite), I figured it was just a local driving through and making sure things were ok. Thanks for putting this here!

FireRef (Found it) GCJ2MY - Mayville Picnic Cache (2/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA

FireRef (Didn`t find it) GC25CJD - Well I'll be stumped (2.5/1.5) by Mr. T 2752
I was definitely stumped on this one - there were just too many possible places in the stump, and a second stump nearby, that I could have looked - I circled it for probably 10 minutes, checking and checking, but will probably have to come back to claim this as a find. Thanks for bringing me here, though!

FireRef (Found it) GC1YTKD - Lighthouse Long Gone (1.5/1) by RandomRon
This was the 7th of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) that I did today. This was a quick find, but I don't think I have ever seen this specific kind of container before. It was well hidden, though, and unless someone pulls it out when the kiddie-muggles are around, it should remain well hidden. TFTC!

FireRef (Didn`t find it) GCW46A - Needles Know - East (1.5/1.5) by FORK
This was my last attempt at a cache on a day with 7 finds and 3 DNF's. I hunted around GZ for a while, probably 10 minutes, but it was becoming dusky, and after running across a dead deer that appeared to have been mauled by something (it was folded in half, wide open - yuk), I decided it was time to hit the road. I'll probably come back here, since I drive through here every now and then, and see if I can find it in a little more daylight. TFTC!
FireRef (Found it) GC1XGXE - Truck Stop Micro. (1.5/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA
This was my first of 7 finds (and three DNF's) on today's cache run. Stopped by the right area and found it after about a minute of hunting. Thanks for putting this out - not hard to find at all!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Didn`t find it) GC1FFD8 - Other Side of the Bridge (3.5/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA

TFTC!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Found it) GC1XFWP - German Damsite (2/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA
This was the third of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) today. I found the decoy almost immediately, but spent quite a while (10 min probably) looking for the real cache. Thanks for bringing me here and showing me another way to frustrate a geocacher! TFTC!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Found it) GC25E1K - Titus Road Trailhead #1 (1.5/2) by Smagster
This was the fourth of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) that I did today. Found this one without any problems - only issue was one person riding a horse in circles about 1/4 mile down the road from where I had to park to get to the cache. Thanks for bringing me here! TFTC!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Found it) GC1XET9 - Lakeside Park: Carlson Community Center Cache (2/1.5) by bfortney
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Found it) GCJ2MY - Mayville Picnic Cache (2/1.5) by Goldsnoop-PA
This was the 6th of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) that I did today. It was a pretty quick find, considering how many different places the cache could have been. Thanks for bringing me here! TFTC!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Didn`t find it) GC25CJD - Well I'll be stumped (2.5/1.5) by Mr. T 2752
I was definitely stumped on this one - there were just too many possible places in the stump, and a second stump nearby, that I could have looked - I circled it for probably 10 minutes, checking and checking, but will probably have to come back to claim this as a find. Thanks for bringing me here, though!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Found it) GC1YTKD - Lighthouse Long Gone (1.5/1) by RandomRon
This was the 7th of 7 finds (and 3 DNF's) that I did today. This was a quick find, but I don't think I have ever seen this specific kind of container before. It was well hidden, though, and unless someone pulls it out when the kiddie-muggles are around, it should remain well hidden. TFTC!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FireRef (Didn`t find it) GCW46A - Needles Know - East (1.5/1.5) by FORK
This was my last attempt at a cache on a day with 7 finds and 3 DNF's. I hunted around GZ for a while, probably 10 minutes, but it was becoming dusky, and after running across a dead deer that appeared to have been mauled by something (it was folded in half, wide open - yuk), I decided it was time to hit the road. FireRef (Found it) GC11E1G - SBux - Hermitage (1.5/1) by XPlore23
Cache was a quick and easy find on a trip down here for a basketball game - my team lost but I figured I could pick up a few caches - it's been a while. TFTC - not sure why it's inactive though - with the repairs from the last log it's in good shape.

FireRef (Write note) GC6FBE - Subway Cache (3.5/3.5) by Hinge Thunder
So does this mean that it will be open again? Seems odd that they would put a bunch of time, money, and effort into remaking a closed tunnel - u kno? I hope they do reopen it though.

FireRef (Found it) GC23XX2 - Who's Hungry? (1.5/1) by Dudeacus
FTF! woo hoo! Figured i had to go and get this one because it is a former student who put it out. When I got there I thought I was second because of the snow tracks. I looked for about 10 minutes and froze my butt off. Then, after 3-4 looks in different places and dropping my iPhone in a snowbank, I finally found it! TFTC!

Should be swapping out the log (if not the whole container just to make it easier) today.

FireRef (Write note) GC20JJD - Saint Paul's Secret (1.5/1.5) by rclizmom
I completely forgot about this until I went back through my list of caches on the website - I'll have to swing by here and get this. Thanks for all the thanks for making the spot available - everyone should get to place caches! The more the merrier! Happy new year everyone!

Container and log replaced - slightly smaller than before - i'll probably switch back to the other container when I replace it next time.

2tf - oh well - saw this one come up when I was sitting at the FD for my crew night and figured I'd go - weequay beat me - congrats!
I'll second the comment about the iPhone - that's my way here too!
Also bring your own pen if it's cold out - I had trouble using the one in the cache - didn't bring one because I knew there would be one there but that didn't work as well as I thought! TFTC!

FireRef (Found it) GCT397 - Train Trestle Falls (2/3) by Captain Crash
BVFDJR, FFKid, Dr. Insanity, and I came to this one on the way back from the PA Turnpike series and camping near that cache. This was a find with a neat trip to get there. The nearby one on the piling is probably going to get done by us in the near future, as all of us have been taking rope rescue classes, and now know how to get to the top of it by that method. But back to this cache. The tunnel is falling apart, but really cool (and really wet, although we did avoid getting wet inside). It is interesting to see the various types of construction that went into putting this tunnel together. The bridge was pretty cool too. Some of our group wanted to climb down to the bottom and then come back up the hill, but decided against it - they did go a level or two down the girders. We got some really cool pictures. Then we headed to get the cache. Some of our group had problems going up and down the hill to get to the cache itself, but actually, I wasn't one of them. The cache was in good shape and well stocked. We then checked out everything on the way back and headed home from here, considering we came down and camped in the PA Turnpike series area, did that one yesterday, and then came here on the way home.

FireRef (Write note) GCFE59 - PA Turnpike Cache #2 "The Cache Down Under" (5/2) by RoadTrippin
BVFDJR, FFKid, Dr. Insanity, and I decided to go check out this tunnel again - BVFDJR and I came down here a few months back and did this cache, along with the other ones around here. We only checked out this one this time, but the other two got to climb in the buildings at either end, as well as some of the sewers underneath. Yes, they really did - I was in them last time before finding the cache. Cache is in good shape, as is the tunnel. Thanks for letting us know this was here - it was definitely worth the trip.

FireRef (Found it) GC1PK83 - Tree Grave (1/2) by grievous angel
This was a quick find for me on a cache run which was actually for maintenance. I need to check my logs for other caches and see what I need to fix in the area. I stopped by this one right after checking on one of my caches that I planned to, and then did, archive. This was a quick find, but it seemed like it was pretty far off. I'll post new coordinates. Thanks for the cache - large container, in good shape, not well stocked but had the important stuff - the log. Thanks for the cache!

FireRef (Found it) GC1ZBFY - Really Old Bridge (2/1.5) by rclizmom
This was the second of two quick caches I found while out on a cache maintenance run. I archived one that needed it (and a new one is getting placed in the area by someone else, so no loss there - another smiley for me soon!) and found a couple new ones that were placed since I was down here recently. Thanks for the cache - good hide! I usually do pretty poorly on bridge caches, but this was a quick find and in good shape, especially since it looks like it has just been replaced.

** Coordinates Changed From **

Changed based on Mommy T-Prints's entry - I knew this was off for a while but kept forgetting to update it. It was one of the first caches I put out and never got a good reading there. Sorry to everyone who tried to swim after the cache :)
